Crackers: I have had good luck giving my daughter something like goldfish crackers during take off and/or landing. The process of eating and swallowing helps to open up your eustachian tubes and equalizes air pressure on either side of your ear drums. Enlarged lymph: nodes are almost always caused by an infection. It is probably not related to shoulder pain. Ear pain might be occult infection. However, if your doctor says it is nothing, most likely it is just that. If it persists or worsens, consult your doctor again. ...Read more
