If not better in 2-3 days, try miralax, (polyethylene glycol) fibercon, senokot-s, colace, Metamucil etc... For quicker relief, enema may help. Not usually.: Orange juice does not usually help the bowels move properly. If it is just an occasional problem, you might want to consider prunes. Constipation: Best thing to do first is make sure you are getting plenty of fiber intake and plenty of water. This will resolve most cases of constipation. If that does not work, you can add a magnesium supplement. I like magnesium glycinate. You can gradually increase the dose until your stools are soft.
