Preeclampsia is caused by high protein in urine. Is that caused by eating too much protein, as is too much egg, milk, etc?Please explain. Avoidable?
Need more info: There are a few benign causes of protein in the urine, like positional proteinuria. Most people have some protein in the urine after vigorous exercise or during fever. Hypertension and diabetes need to be excluded. Trace of protein: You need to have a 24 h hour urine collection to see how much protein in your urine/day. Protein excretion by a diseased kidney is not constant, rather it is sporadic over 24 hours.
