Follow up: Sometimes other medication is needed. I would advise to call back your prescriber.
Need to take the ibuprofen 600 mg three or four times a day. This can be irritating to the stomach. If you have taken it every day couple times a day, definitely call back. You can lose too much blood and become anemic or worse yet pass out if you are hemorrhaging

Out of 6 period days, have bad cramps&vomiting on day2.Once the pain gets bad I take advil or tylenol which work well for me. Could it be endometriosis?

Endometriosis: Serious pain and nausea/vomiting/diarrhea are usual components of periods with endometriosis. You should consider oral bcp to reduce the pain, etc, and prevent potential infertility, which is very frequent with endometriosis. Ibs and cramps: Irritable bowel is usually treated with high fiber diet and lots of liquids. Not sure why your doctor said no to tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin unless he gave you some other med for pain which might interact with the OTC pain meds. I have chronic migraines, and think I might also be having rebound has from advil (ibuprofen). If I stop taking it, how long should it take for the has to go away?

May not work: You likely have chronic daily headache patterns, and could well be prompted by your advil (ibuprofen) usage, which is not uncommon, but your Fioricet will make this even worse, and Amitriptyline will be unlikely to break up this headache pattern. In short, see a neurologist who specializes in headaches, and get your med program totally revamped. Might also check in with dentist re teeth and/or jaw issues. ...Read more

My husband insists me to take ibuprofen when I feel feverish but no fever as he feels that if done it vil stop onset of fever. Is this right?

Why stop fever?: Taking medication in an attempt to "prevent" a symptom that you don't even know you are going to get is unnecessary. Fever itself is a symptom of something else. It is not dangerous. I don't know why you feel "feverish" or what other symptoms you are having, but trying to stop a fever won't fix the issue that would have led to it in the first place. Make sense? ...Read more
