How Much Grams Of Sugar Should I Intake A Day And Still Be Considered Healthy
Trying to count sugar intake. Do fruits count or is it mainly the unhealthy sugars added to foods. And how many grams is ok in a day ?
Fruits count: If you are trying to accurately account for all sugar intake, fruits can make up a significant proportion. Sugar in fruits is better because you are getting all of the micronutrients and fiber of the fruit, but it is still sugar. I generally recommend that total carbs account for less than half of your daily caloric intake. Most of these carbs should come from fruit, vegetable, and whole grain. ...Read more

Yes : If you are taking a lot of sugar the excess can spill over and create an environment prone to yeast vaginitis. Probably does not do much to the vagina. Etc is unclear. Everything in moderation. ...Read more
Will i lose too much weight if i cut down on my sugar intake? I'm doing this to get healthy and to end my addiction to sugar.
Not likely: Many people feel addicted to sugar. It's very unlikely you'll lose "too much" weight if you end this addiction. Diets containing large amounts of sugar (including high-fructose corn syrup) raise triglyceride levels and make it more likely to store fat than to metabolize it. Fiber-rich carbs like veggies and beans don't do this. Weight loss is more than just "calories in, calories out.". ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Curious: I drink a med ice latte, 1 pump of syrup, no whip from coffee chain. No health issue, normal weight. Can water flush the sugar intake after?
Not really: Water will not have an affect on the sugar you've consumed or how it is metabolized by your body. Your body will still process the sugar as it would without any additional water consumed, and it will use the energy (the calories) from the sugar. Despite that, though, it is a good idea to drink water in addition to lattes or other sweetened beverages! ...Read more
