There r options: These meds all sound necessary, but most if not all are available at walmart, where you can get 90 days' worth for $9...You can have withdrawal if u suddenly stop morphine if u have taken a high dose for a long time...Sugars and blood pressure may be out of control off Insulin or BP meds, but depends how severe each condition. See pcp to switch to generics or cheaper options.See 2 more doctor answers

I am on Prozac (fluoxetine) 20 mg from 20 days. How I can find out if its working or not and how much does it need to start working?
INCREASE DOSE: If there is no clinical change after a week, the dr should try a dose increase (up to 80mg). If there is no antidepressant effect, a switch to another med is called for.
Can fluoxetine cause u to be sick for a while before u get used to the medicine I have been on it for 19 days I think. How much longer will this last?
Why do you need to: Know this bit of information? If you are having imminent thoughts of suicide please have a friend or relative take you to the nearest emergency room now. You can call 911 for transport if needed. If you are playing with the idea of suicide with no current plan or intent, then please see a psychiatrist and/ or a psychologist to get assistance. Let your family physician know as well.
Keep on it: It may take a couple of weeks for your body to get adjusted to the antidepressant. Initial symptoms Include an increase in anxiety, nausea, diarrhea and restlessness. Why is there so much negative commonts on prozac (fluoxetine)? Did those people really commit suicide when stopping it?
Hype: Prozac (fluoxetine) was widely heralded as a wonder antidepressant drug with few if any side effects when it was first introduced. Then came a few reports of suicidal or homicidal behavior in people on prozac (fluoxetine). People like to blame their pathological behaviors on the drugs they take. All antidepressants have a slight risk for inducing suicidal ideation, hostility, or mania. Prozac (fluoxetine) is no worse than any others.
Took 400mg of sam -e for 10 days. How long does this stay in your system. Want to stop it and go back to 10mg of prozac (fluoxetine)?
Depression: You need to consult with your doctor as I have seen negative effects of going between sam-e and prozac (fluoxetine). Sam-e is difficult to assess as to its quality as it is not regulated. Be honest with your doctor as to your dose so you can make the adjustment with the least consequences. Best wishes.See 1 more doctor answer
Any thoughts for remedies for hypersensitivity (e.G. People experience sensory input more strongly). Would something like Prozac (fluoxetine) help?
? Misophonia: En. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/misophonia misophonia, literally "hatred of sound", is a neurological disorder in which negative experiences (anger, flight, hatred, disgust) are triggered by specific sounds. Read the article and if that does indeed sound like what you have, then copy out the article and bring it to your physician. Prozac (fluoxetine) and some of the other ssris have occasionally been helpful. It's certainly worth a try. Best wishesand thanks for clarifying what you meant earlier.
I was taking Prozac (fluoxetine) for 18 days but it did lots of side effects. I stopped today how much does it take for the side effects to dissappear?
SSRI: Fluoxetine is the first of the "newer generation" of antidepressants developed around 1990, called selective (or specific) serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRI). It works by increasing the amount of serotonin available at brain synapses. Fluoxetine and other SSRIs are powerful anti-depressant and anti-anxiety agents.
SSRI antidepresant: Its been around a while now, but pretty revolutionary when it first came out. It is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor most commonly used to treat depression. The ssris were a big step forward due to far less side effects than the tricyclic antidepressants that were the main treatment for depression prior to that.See 1 more doctor answer
Weight Neutral: Any of the antidepressants can cause weight gain. When Prozac (fluoxetine) was first available, it was said to be weight neutral. If this is of concern and you are taking Prozac (fluoxetine) or thinking of taking Prozac (fluoxetine) discuss this with your doctor and see what options are available.
Delays ejaculation: Fluoxetine will delay ejaculation which depending on the couple may be good or bad. It will also decrease libido somewhat. If a person has an unwanted sexual compulsion or obsession -- and these are common -- drugs like fluoxetine sometimes cause them to melt away while leaving normal loving intact. Good luck.
