Can you take 5 mg of Vicodin and 25 mg of Benadryl together? I weigh 113 pounds and I'm a female. I have an ovarian cyst and I hardly ever take pain medications so I'm a little afraid and my allergies are killing me.
What causes ovarian cyst? I eat very healthy and I am also an athlete so I exercise every day pretty much. I want to prevent having one in the future.
A fluid collection: Most women of child bearing years have collections of fluid in the ovaries surrounded by a thin wall of tissue. This is an ovarian cyst and is common during each menstrual cycle. In most cases these are benign. Diet and exercise do not play a role as far as we know in reducing the risk of having a cyst. Speak with your gynecologist or primary care physician if you have further questions.

Can complex fluid filled ovarian cysts become cancerous? Why might there be a bright ring around it on u/s then no ring on f/u u/s? Causing much pain.
Yes it can: Complex cysts can be cancerous depending on their size and rate of growth. A CA125 test can help decide its nature. Ultrasound is a good test to measure increase in size and also may show any solid components inside the cyst. You should get the ultrasound repeated in 3-4 months and have your gynecologist guide you further. You may need surgical removal if it is causing you much pain or increased s
Is this normal for my situation or is something to worry about? I was diagnosed with a bleeding ovarian cyst on monday of this past week and was told the cyst wasn't very big and that it wasn't bleeding very much. They were not worried about and told me I
Pepto: Pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) can cause the stool to look abnormal. It is unlikely for a cyst to cause blood in the stool, even if it is bleeding, although endometriosis can cause that. If you have another bloody stool, have increased pain, vomiting, or feel light-headed or faint, then you must be seen as an emergency.
Variable: Most cysts don't weigh very much at all but the largest cyst on record was over 300 pounds.
Unlikely: Beau's lines are the result of altered metabolism from many causes and PCOS could be a factor. You should have a full history and examination and blood work done to rule out other disease. What is the cause of your ovarian cysts and who diagnosed them.
Having an ovarian cyst with a thick septa. Two parts 4.5cm and 1.5cm. It hurts. Can't find much info about this type of cyst online. Ok to leave it?
See a GYN: It's right around the size when I would recommend taking it out. If you have pain, definitely have it removed. Thick separations are also a sign that it may need to come out. I recommend you talk to a gynecologist.
PAIN: If you lose much blood with a cyst rupture, the blood will irritate the abdominal and pelvic cavities and cause pain. If you go to the er with this, they will think you might have appendicitis and evaluate for that. It does not take a whole lot of blood - 2 or 3 tablespoons - to get a significant painful reaction. It is normal to have cyst fluid with an ovarian cyst rupture, but not blood.
I have a 4 inch ovarian cyst on my left side. It hasn't been causing much pain I just delivered a baby vaginally on august 9th. Will I be okay?
OVARIAN CYST: The gyne usually operates on cyst more than 2cm. In size but if it is not bothering you like abdominal or backpain, then you can leave it alone.
Can a heating pad help shrink a 7.5 cm ovarian cyst? Any other remedies to naturally shrink an ovarian cyst? Also, can it shrink much within one week?
Time: Most ovarian cysts go away by themselves over time. If a cyst stays around for more than 3 months, what we would do next depends on it's size, your age, any symptoms and very specific details of the ultrasound report describing the cyst.
Depends on the cyst: Some cysts (small simple follicular) don't need any help and resolve on their own. Large symptomatic cysts most likely will require surgical intevention. There are some cysts that resolve with hormonal treatment.
