How Much Carbs Should A Pregnant Women Eat Per Day
I have pcos and I eat low net carbs per day, high healthy fats, moderate protein and dairy and abundant veggies is it safe to continue during pregnancy?
See dietitian: Congratulations on being so health conscious. The person to best address your question would be a dietitian. I suggest your doctor put in a dietary consult for you. You can have the consultant take a close look at you eating habits and match them up with dietary needs in pregnancy, specifically making sure you get the appropriate amount of calories. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
My son drinks a lot pees a lot don't eat a lot but eats mostly carbs could he be diabetic? I was when i was pregnant
Any weight loss ?: Unless your kid is losing weight in spite of his extra eating and drinking, diabetes is less likely than a drinking habit. The more you drink, the more you change how your kidney handles the water in your blood, tossing more of it out to stay in balance.Diabetics loose glucose in the urine as well as the fluid, so a simple dipstick urine can often separate the two.Diabetics pee out glucose. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 18 days late on my period took 5 pregnancy tests , all negative i 2-3 hours at the gym daily & i don't eat carbs. Could that be why i'm late?
I am over weight can I eat low carb or low fat to lose weight during this pregnancy. I'm 295 at last weigh in. I don't look it but i am. What to do?
Decrease intake.: Controlling how many calories you consume daily will be your best bet to control your weight. Your height also plays an important role (bmi) in your risk for complications of pregnancy, so consult with your obstetrician to set realistic goals of weight by the end of the pregnancy (gain less than 10 lbs would be a good idea). Avoid sodas, bread, pasta, fried food, eating out - prefer grilled food. ...Read more

Is it better to avoid high fructose corn syrup or limit sodium, calories, and carbs during pregnancy ?
Neither: There is no evidence that any of those dietary restrictions are helpful during pregnancy. Avoiding excessive weight gain is great, but your goal for weight gain depends on your starting weight. If you are already obese (BMI > 30), then you should gain very little weight during the pregnancy, and eating a low calorie, low carb diet can help. You should NOT try to lose weight, though! ...Read more
