Stop benzoyl peroxid: Benzoyl peroxide is a good first line topical treatment for acne. It is a form of bleach, and can be quite irritating, causing redness and dryness. I recommend that you stop the Proactiv. To soothe the redness, use a good facial moisturizer, made especially for redness and irritation. If your acne is persistent, see your doctor. She/he can prescribe something more effective and prevent irritation.
