How much alcohol per day can a liver tolerate without bad effects?

I have been diagnosed with a fatty liver can I drink tonic water ? just 1 can per day I DONT DRINK ALCOHOL!!!!! NOT GIN & TONIC ONLY TONIC WATER

In moderation: Tonic water contains a little quinine. Quinine is a drug, used to treat malaria, and has some potential liver toxicity. If tonic water in moderation is your worst "vice", you are probably ok. ...Read more

My liver enzyme is triple the account. Is that considered bad? What future health consequences will it bring? I don't smoke and don't drink alcohol.

Repeat in 2-4 weeks: An isolated mild elevation of liver enzymes, I assume transaminases you are referring to, may have no relevance. Common culprits are drugs, prescribed or OTC, supplements and alcohol. Comorbidities, such as diabetes, hypothyroidism or obesity may also cause a mild increase in liver enzymes. Would recommend repeating your liver enzymes in few weeks in trying to understand if there is any dynamics. ...Read more
