Hi, I am a 33 year old vegan female with a perfect diet. . I can't lose weight and I am gaining it. My bloods are perfect. Why am I gaining weight?

What you eat determines your metabolism. Therefore even on a Vegan diet (which I'm following mostly as well), you have to make sure you're getting enough protein (8-10 oz./day) and not taking in too many carbs (less than 50g if you want to lose weight). This is challenging on the Vegan diet but possible. Got to read labels and use higher fiber, lower sugar/starch contents and Protein powders.

Weight loss is such a frustrating thing. Our bodies evolved to hold onto weight, and it can be very difficult once a plateau is reached. I have to say, that losing 30 pounds is amazing, so congratulations. You are doing everything right. You might need to "jump start" your weight loss by a change in exercise program. You may want to consult a personal trainer, or ask a staff member at your gym for more variety in your routine. Again, congratulations on losing 30 pounds, that is fantastic.
