Patients feel they are "constipated" when passing hard or small volume stool, or they feel full ; bloated. Child constipation: Causes - diet (not enough fluid and fiber, too much dairy), slow intestinal motility, stool withholding because of pain or fear of pooping, Hirschsprung's Disease, thyroid problems.
