Possible lymphoma: The presence of lymph nodes that can be palpated in axilla would lead to evaluation of other sites as seen on CAT scan. This procedure must have been ordered to see if other nodal areas were involved as in retroperitoneum. Since there are many causes of multiple areas of enlarged nodes, dx must be determined by bx. Aspiration of no value since architecture of nodes required for proper dx.

What do small hard lymph nodes in the pelvic area indicate?

What do small hard lymph nodes in the pelvic area indicate?

Infection?: Can possibly mean infection or inflammation in the surrounding area. Shaving or waxing can even cause those lymph nodes to swell. Skin rashes, even something as serious as an std. It's probably a good idea to be checked by a doctor.

What exactly does it mean if you have lymph nodes in your pelvic area?

Monitoring Centers: The lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries and veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes are everywhere and "taste" the lymph to see if there bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge/hard in response to the inflammation created when they react.

How many lymph nodes are in the pelvic region? That question is still not answered by these responses. Thank you.

Varies per person: Females tend to have higher numbers of pelvic lymph nodes than males. Anatomical studies related to cancer spread have found that most people have at least 25-50 lymph nodes in their pelvic region but it depends in part on the nature of their disease. Inflammatory and infectious diseases tend to increase the number of lymph nodes in a region. Hope this helps

Is it possible for pelvic lymph nodes enlarge because endometriosis?

Endo & Nodes: I am not aware of endometriosis causing lymph node enlargement. Pelvic lymph nodes, you mean groin nodes that are palpable? Causes could be std, malignancy or normal. See your doctor.

Where are lymph nodes in abdomen and pelvis?

Where are lymph nodes in abdomen and pelvis?

Many places: In general, they are near blood vessels - such as the aorta. In colon cancer, for example, the nodes are right next to the colon, but extend around the blood vessels of the colon.

Slow growing and painless lymph nodes in groin area had a cythscope it was normal besides bright red patches on bladder wall no biopsy sever pelvic pn?

Urologist: The best and perhaps the only person who can answer this is the urologist who performed the procedure. If you have difficulty communicating with them you can request a second opinion and the new doctor can communicate with the first. Good luck.

Hello I had a cat scan done on pelvic and abdoan done today the are looking at lymph nodes what does lyphoma orlung cancer look like on cat scan?

Hello I had a cat scan done on pelvic and abdoan done today the are looking at lymph nodes what does lyphoma orlung cancer look like on cat scan?

A mass.: Lymph nodes are scattered throughout the body and are normal structures. They should not be larger than 1 cm in diameter. Lymph nodes that contain metastatic disease, or lymph nodes containing lymphoma, are detected on a cat scan based on size over 1 cm. A pet/ct has an additional criterion, increased glucose uptake, to suggest cancer.

Generalised lymphadenopathy with rubbery lymph nodes at 3cm various locations n pelvic clusters of 7 small rock hard nodes a sigh of lymphoma?

Generalised lymphadenopathy with rubbery lymph nodes at 3cm various locations n pelvic clusters of 7 small rock hard nodes a sigh of lymphoma?

Biopsy: Generalized lymphadenopathy needs to get quick attention, there are several causes and lymphoma is one possible cause, only examination and texture is not adequate to make diagnosis. Need biopsy and pathology exam to make diagnosis. Need to see doc quickly.

RIght location: This is the right location for lymph nodes, but usually you could feel them here and tell that they are the cause of your tenderness. It looks as if you have several medical problems, possibly lupus, so you should take good care of yourself and have this checked.

Are there lymph nodes in lower back, near the pelvis and spine? I feel a moveable lump under skin surface - not visible to the naked eye.

Lipoma?: Sounds like you palpated a lipoma or benign fatty tumor (non- cancerous). Unlikely area for lymph nodes. See your pcp for evaluation. Best of luck!

Yes,: Lymph nodes are normal structures. If they are normal in shape and size, there is generally nothing to worry about.

Ct and/pelvis contrast for lymphadenopathy. Multiple non enlarged retroperitoneal lymph nodes visualized. Do you always see these nodes on ct? Normal?

These lymph nodes: May not mean anything, unless there is a readily diagnosed condition that will explain their existence, such as acute infection or tumor. Lymph nodes can pop in and out, without rhyme or reason. The existence of CHRONICALLY enlarging lymph nodes would be a red flag. Periodic followup CTs at intervals of 3 or 6 months would be recommended here.

Full body CT scan revealed 2 lymph nodes in neck, 2 in groin & pelvic area. All benign. This is my 3rd CT scan. What is my risk of future Cancer?

Not much different: Check these links: http://www. Xrayrisk. Com/calculator/calculator. Php http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/detection/CT The first is a risk calculator. I got an increase of 0.7% over the baseline for your entire life with a baseline 44.9%. This represents a very small increase. This is based unsubstantiated data. It is not verified. So is the adjacent chart.

Contrast enhanced CT showed 'reactive appearing mediastinal lymph nodes.' What does this mean? I had pelvic phleboliths too. Normal blood work. Blood in urine.

Lymph nodes: They may be in reaction to something that your body has been exposed to however I think you should ask the physician who ordered the scan to explain this to you
