How Many Milligrams Of Dextromethorphan Are There In Zicam Cough Max Total
The cough reflex is a protective mechanism that uses muscles in your throat and chest to expel mucous and saliva that may contain pathogens that would otherwise possibly be inhaled via aerosol or to expel pathogens infecting the throat and respiratory system. Cough benefits the host by reducing load and benefits the pathogen which may then spread via aerosol. ...Read more
Seek medical help!: This is an extremely high dose which could be deadly. You should seek medical attention if you have ingested this medication or are considering it. Depends: Look at the bottle at the concentration of oxycodone/ml. Multiply this my 10 and that should give you the total oxycodone dose for 10ml. This will also have a dose of Acetaminophen as well so you could easily get confused with the calculation. You should discuss this with your pharmacist or physician. ...Read more
What is the difference between dimetapp dm and brotapp dm for children age 4? Are there any harmful side effects with brotapp dm in this age group?
No important ones: For at least the last decade we have recommended parents not use these cough/cold medications in kids before school age if then. They were once a prescription med that eventually made it to OTC status. Over time we realized more kids were self medicating and ending up in the ER with toxic overdoses. The research eventually showed they don't do much, other than give parents something to do. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I have dosed pseudoephedrine hci, guaifenesin, and dextromethorphan hbr. I also took 2 10/650 vicodin. Is this safe i took about 3.5 fluid ounces of Robitussin cf, which is what contained all of the ingredients listed. Is this combination potentially harm
No: 3.5 ounces of Robitussin (guaifenesin) is an excessive dose in and of itself (usual dose is 15-30 ml, which is 1/2-1 oz). Combining this with 2 vicodin increases the chance of toxic effects. Follow instructions on otc medications if you want to use them safely, and tell the doctor prescribing the vicodin about your use of other medications with it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What's the max dosage for glucosamine and chondrotin? Is there any difference in therapeutic effect at higher dosages? Any other supplements for arth?
No max: Glucosamine and chondrotin sulfate are not drugs or a vitamin, as such there is no maximum. Usually it is derived from fish so if you have an allergy to seafood or sulfates you should not take it. Most studies use at least 500mg of each three times/week. "arthritis today" has a supplement guide for specific supplements. http://www.arthritistoday.org/treatments/supplement-guide/index.php. ...Read more
What are the long term effects of sleep deprivation? Are there any long term side effects of substituing vivarin for sleep? Over the course of the past few months, i've averaged about 3-5 hours of sleep a day while taking vivarin. I don't feel very differ
This : This is really not a good idea. People really need at least 7 hours of sleep. The body just cannot work with such high levels of stress. If that really has been your schedule, you are severely sleep deprived right now. You cannot form normal sleep cycles in such a short period of time. I can assure you that your performance and your general health are both significantly reduced after doing that for a few months. You will build dependence to vivarin, (caffeine) and you will probably have long term health problems. I would highly suggest you find another way that allows you to get more sleep. Again, really not a good idea. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
