How Many Mcg In A B12 Shot
Stackers 2 B12 drinks with 600mcg of b12. Is this a good supplement for someone who is B12 deficient? I have just started receiving monthly injections
Best as shot: For patients low in B12 injections are best since they are more likely to increase levels ( you don't have to wonder how much is getting absorbed). Nasocobalamin is a nasal spray that can help. If the reason you have low B12 is GI related, oral consumption of b13 may not help. ...Read more
If i just got a B12 shot n gonna for 4 more weeks n then 1 a month for B12 defieciency is it good 2 take additional B12 in pill form daily?
No harm: If the cause of your deficiency is related to absorption(Hyperacidity, lack of intrinsic factor, certain meds),then oral B12 would be of little benefit if you taking weekly shots. If taking additional B12 makes YOU feel better, then take the sublingual form. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What to do if I have strep throat, and was given a shot of 1, 200, 000 units of billicillin with 80 unit of Depo-Provera Medrol (methylprednisolone) 40 mg?
How many pills of each a day should I take of folic acid, b6, B12 one dr gave me the mg of each just don't know how many a day for compound heterozygo?
MTHFR?: I am assuming your question got cut off and you have mthfr polymorphism? The number of pills would related to how many milligrams are recommended and you should be taking the methylated forms of folate (folic acid) and b12. You doctor may also know if you have specific deficiencies or health issues so you should contact your doctor. Mthfr.Net is a decent resource if you do have that issue. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Does taking T4 only for a long period of time cause ones cortisol and iron levels to become low? Should 1 correct these b4 starting ndt
Not likely: Thyroid hormone does not cause iron to go down. However people with a well proven low cortisol (adrenal insufficiency) should correct their adrenal insufficiency before taking thyroxine (t4) as thyroid hormone can increase metabolism of cortisol. This does not apply to people with normal cortisol production, who can compensate very well for this effect. ...Read more

Neuroligist said my B12 is in normal range of 142ng/L Range 130-800 A year of B12 injections monthly, could be enough B12 for the rest of life?Correct
B 12: Ask your neurologist about the possibility of taking SUBLINGUAL B 12 tablets rather than the shots. Now that your level is w/in limits that would be more convenient. The usual dose is to let one tablet melt under the tongue each morning. Peace and good health. (They also have B 12 w/Folate which provides another useful vitamin.) ...Read more

When u receive the B12 and hCG inj weekly about2-3months @ a weight loss clinic will it make the womanmore fertile?& the man have more&faster sperm?
No: Hcg does not make you more fertile. When you are pregnant it increases to prepare and support the endometrium for the pregnancy. Losing weight will make you more fertile. The diet does nothing to improve sperm speed. Hcg stimulates the release of grh which increases lh and fsh leading to more sperm but the doses are in the thousands iu, not 125 iu as in the diet. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I took vitamin b12 1000mcg on may 28th how long does it take for b12 too get out of the body fully so I can take a Lower dose 250mcg.
Wrong question: Why ask this? There is no toxic dose of B12. You will absorb only a tiny fraction of these very large doses. Why are you taking it? Most of the time 250 will be about the same as 1000. You can take the 250mcg any time.Since this is in many foods and is even produced by intestinal bacteria, a clinical deficiency occurs only in special circumstances. Vegan diet. Long term use of PPI or H2 blocker s ...Read more
Can you gain weight with only one shot of depo-medrol for rheumatoid arthritis? How long does it last in the body?
Is it safe to take 100mcg of vit B12 and 400 mcg of folic acid daily? My doc said i'm deficient. What would cause a deficiency in these?
Several causes: Vegans are vulnerable to deficiencies in these vitamins because they eat no animal source foods. These deficiencies may show up in alcoholism too. Also, elderly people and those with genetic polymorphisms can absorb these vitamins poorly. Eating foods rich in B12 & folate (folic acid) (such as legumes & leafy greens) can help. Taking vit B12 and Folic Acid as your doctor suggests, is safe. ...Read more
