How Many Freezing Treatments Does It Require To Remove Foot Warts
Freezing is to mean turning liquid into solid form by lowering the temperature. Water begins to freeze at 32 degree f or 0 degree celsius. Freezing reduces the movement of the substance/object--solid. Also commonly used in daily communication--police says to a perpetraitor "freeze" and hopefully the bad boy/girl stays solid/still (just for fun :-)). Have ...Read more
I have 3 large (.25 -.75 inch) warts on my foot and have had 15-20 freeze and/or scrape and burn treatments, but they persist. What should I do?
I have 3 large: If conservative tx at the podiatrist is not working, you have an option of going to a dermatologist and have liquid nitrogen treatment , if that does not work , then possibly surgical excision needs to be considered. Huge bump on the side of heel on the right foot that keeps growing. Excruciating pain even from socks touching it. Not a wart, tried treatments. Help?
I have wort on the bottom of the foot, What is treatment? Wort on feet are the same that cause genital warts?

Possibly: Since warts are epidermal lesions, any treatment should be restricted to that level. Penetrating the dermis by any means creates scarring which could be painful post-treatment. While i treat most warts with canthradine, I do occasionally bluntly remove them under local anesthesia and gently treat the base with a co2 laser to prevent reoccurrence. These heal without suturing. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Skin Reaction.: It's not clear as to whether the treatment you received was for the warts you had already, or the treatment you received, actually caused the warts. Either way, without knowing just what the treatment was, it is difficult to know if it could have been the cause. My guess is, that it probably was. To remove all doubt, you should ask this question to the person who gave you the treatment. ...Read more
