How Many Days To Wait For Menstruation After Taking Pills
Can we switch from one BC pill to another straightaway or do we have to wait for menses then start new BC pill??
You do not need to finish the pill pack before switching to another method. You can stop taking your pill at any point in the pack. If you are switching to pills from another method, you should start by taking the first pill in the pack. These rules also apply to switching from one kind of pill to another kind of pill.
You may have changes in your period after switching birth control methods. Thi ...Read more

A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more

Hello there good morning. I just want to ask that is it normal when the menstruation doesn't come for 1 or 2 months while taking the contraceptive pills?
Oral contraceptives: It's a little unusual, as most pills are cycled with at least some withdrawal bleed during the hormone free week. Consider a pregnancy test - it is very unlikely if you fave been taking the pills correctly - and check with your gynecologist or family doctor that you ARE taking the pills as directed. ...Read more

It is normal for your period to fluctuate by a few days; the term regular versus irregular is confusing. I say this because a fluctuation of a few days is normal and therefore could be considered a regular period, yet since the days are not exact (i.E 28 day cycle) then this could be considered irregular. Semantics.
If you are a week or more late with your period repeat the pregnancy test.
Best of luck. ...Read more

Normal effect of OCs: Most women will experience lighter periods while on the Pill. In fact, the Pill is sometimes prescribed to control heavy menstrual bleeding even in women who don't need it for contraception. There is no reason to stop taking the Pill because of this. Consider it a blessing. If, on occasional you don't have a period at all, you could do a Home Pregnancy test to make sure you're no pregnant. ...Read more

My menses are irregular and usually very long. I used norethisthrone 8 pills for four days. My period stopped now came back. Is this normal?
Likely: The norethistrone is often used to trigger a withdrawal bleed (so as to 'jump start' the menses) and thin out the lining of the uterus. It usually requires a longer administration (7-14 days) to cause the withdrawal bleed, but other than that, it's not great for 'regulating' menses. ...Read more
