Which alcoholic drink has the lowest calories?

Fewer numbers: I would advise that you consider thinking about the number of drinks you usually have and if you honestly think you don't drink too many. Because otherwise, it kinda sounds like your just wanting to perhaps 'get the biggest bang for your buck, ' whereas others might think just drinking fewer drinks, maybe like no more than one or two per evening would work best. ...Read more

I am trying to watch my weight be have a party this weekend. So what alcoholic drink is the lowest in calories?

I am trying to watch my weight be have a party this weekend. So what alcoholic drink is the lowest in calories?

Alcohol diet: Alcohol is high in sugar and simply put, it makes it much more difficult to lose weight and continue to drink alcohol. Calories are probably not the best measure when it comes to alcohol and weight issues. As an example, i could drink lite beer, which has fewer calories rlthan regular, and still end up with a "beer belly". I would suggest staying away from alcohol, at lwast temporarily, while you. ...Read more

Why do many prescription drugs have warnings against drinking alcoholic beverages concomitantly?

Why do many prescription drugs have warnings against drinking alcoholic beverages concomitantly?

Very good reasons: In drugs that are central nervous system depressants, alcohol can increase their effects, sometimes dramatically, and result in overdose. With antibiotics, alcohol interferes with the body's ability to fight infection. Alcohol has many drug interactions, where it can increase or decrease the effectiveness of a particular drug, either causing more toxic effects or reducing the benefits. ...Read more

After the hCG diet how do you keep the weight off ? Can you drink alcoholic beverages on the diet?

You can't!: The major problem with every diet (the hcg, adkins, south beach, etc) is that when you stop it, you always regain the weight when you go back to eating the way way you were before. That's why the diets advertise losing weight quickly but rarely show people who kept the weight off. Remember: alcohol contains calories which can cause weight gain like any other drink. Limit it as much as you can. ...Read more

Is it bad to have an alcoholic drink every night, even if it's just one?

Is it bad to have an alcoholic drink every night, even if it's just one?

Not usually: But it depends on the size of that one drink and how much alcohol it contains. A "beverage alcohol equivalent" is equal to one 12 ounce beer, 4 ounces of wine or one ounce of whiskey or hard liquor. For most people, having one drink per night isn't harmful. Some studies suggest that there is actually a benefit to one drink per night, especially red wine due to the antioxidants. Check with your dr. ...Read more

If I have a cold, how bad is it to have an alcoholic drink or two?

If one or two: Doesn't really make much difference. My experience is that when people are talking about "one or two" they are often really talking about ten or twelve. Alcohol in excess impairs our immune system, makes us more susceptible to infection, and those illnesses may last longer. If really one or two, it will not make any measurable difference in recovery. However, smoking will, and if you smoke, stop. ...Read more

Can I have an alcoholic drink if I have gastritis?

Can I have an alcoholic drink if I have gastritis?

No : And if your doctor didn't ask you about how much you drink, or you didn't offer that you do drink, let me then be the first to tell you - no. When someone with gastritis asks me if they can drink, i can safely assume that the gastritis is either being caused by, or contributed to, by excessive drinking. I strongly suggest you discuss your drinking in depth with your doctor or a therapist. ...Read more

Is it more harmful to drink just one alcoholic drink of 30% a month then to drink the same glass 2x a week?
