It depends.: I would aim for around 1500-1600 calories for weight loss, though it depends on how active you are. While cutting out sugars and starches can be helpful there are other high calorie foods. I recommend finding an online calorie tracker (there are many apps for apple and android (methyltestosterone) phones) that also allows you to account for exercise. Excessive Workout: I am not sure what workout you are doing that you can burn 1000 calories in one hour! Your body needs to rebuild, repair and maintain. You need to have an intake of at least 1800 calories a day. Remember, when you burn those calories and then calorie restrict, your body thinks you are starving and will just reduce your metabolism to a minimal level. ...Read more

The actual # of: calories you take in will be your decision. Do remember that starvation dieting can backfire by dropping metabolic rate. If you reduced your caloric intake by 500 cal per day - your could lose a pound a week. If you reduced it by 250 calories - you could lose a pound in two weeks etc. 1/2 to 1 pound loss per week is a good goal. To lose weight alone: you need 2 decrease caloric intake. A well balanced diet can do this. If you add an exercise program that includes cardio 1 day & a weight lifting on 2nd day and so on you will lose weight, but a program that includes hard work outs,while you lose fat you will gain muscle mass & strength & look more fit. But muscle is heavier than fat so weight loss may B negated, but you will look much better. ...Read more
