No, but. . .: The real problem is how badly if at all, the growth plate has been injured. This could change the rate of growth. At 16 you may not have too much growth left in the distal tibial. All you can do is watch at this point. I GUESS that you'll be OK. ...Read more

Depends: How quickly growth plate fractures heal depends on a number of factors. The most important are probably: which bone is fractured, how severe it is, age and the general health of the child. That being said, children do tend to heal more quickly, and growth plate fractures heal more quickly than other fractures.
