Ear wax and oils: Ear wax is simply a combination of dead skin cells and oils. It is supposed to protect the ear from wind insects etc. If you have wax buildup it is usually from lack of oils in the ear canal. Antihist./decongesta: ears drain into the nose thru the eustacian tube, if nasal congestion it backs up so need over the counter antihistamine and decongestant like zyrtec d or other similar generic. the best is flonase now otc too , but use all three , always flush nose first with nasal saline if thick mucus to help too. wait 2 weeks to dry up the inner ears , if not working or getting worse see your dr. ...Read more

Swimmer ear: if you are on drops fine. If not get some from your primary doctor who will have someone on call that can call this in for you.
