Small chest infection on the right lung since saturday, how long will it last for as I feel exellent, I had a temp, cought but they ended 2days ago.

It depends: Pneumonia or infection of the lung tissues varies in severity according to the infecting agent, your age & immunity and time taken till the start of treatment. Apparently in your case it wasn't a severe case or your immunity and the early treatment kicked off rapidly or both. It is a good sign that your symptoms resolved quickly. Finish your meds & followup with your doc. ...Read more

The symptoms of my chest infection developed in a month from bloody mucus to sob n chest discomfort. Does that mean it'll take as long to heal?

Pneumonia: Chest infections or pneumonias can sometimes take weeks to months for the inflammation to go down. And even though the infection has been cleared, the symptoms can linger that long too. Depending on the size and extent of your infection, it could take that long for symptoms to completely resolve. I'd ask your doctor specifically. Good luck. ...Read more

Got chest infection/blood in mucous. Taking doxycycline 100mg for 48 hours. Blood oxygen 92. Is it normal to be exhausted, no appetite.

Yes!: Blood oxygen level of 92% is likely at rest and when you walk it should go further down, limiting your activities. The poor appetite relates to infection and also to low oxygen level. Insurance does not pay for oxygen supply until you have 88% or less, although you will be short of breath with effort due to lung issues. Continue close care with your doctor to see resolution of this problem. ...Read more

Suddenly saw a small blood clot in my eye. I have chest infection. Hasn't recovered. Due to blowing of nose? That was the last thing I did. Help

Probably, yes: If you're describing an area of blood overlying what would normally be the white of your eye (the "sclera"), you're describing a "subconjunctival hemorrhage" - a completely harmless condition which will go away on its own and needs no treatment. It can often happen after straining, as with blowing your nose.

If the blood clot is truly *in* your eye - in front of the colored part - go see an md. ...Read more
