More info needed: If the x ray showed a tiny avulsion fracture answer is 6-8 weeks hopefully with some Physical Therapy to increase range of motion and strength. If the tendon tear ("Grade 3 suggests a tear with some bruising occured) is small 3-4 weeks should do the trick 4-5 with more significant tears.
