Questionable: It is "safe" in the sense that you probably wont become pregnant from the experience:-) Could cause some pain and possibly an ascending infection in the uterus. Tubal ligation: Normally if have scheduled tubal ligation by laparoscopic or mninlarp you can have relationship after couple of days if you are comfortable or feel well but anyway you should follow postoperative instruction by your doctor as he/she know your general condition best. No: I am always worried when someone, after a serious procedure, and particularly in your case when you are breast feeding, are so focussed on wanting (needing?) to drink that they ask this question. Depends how the tuba: Tubal was done, douching not recommended, you can use tampons usually with your next period , if your periods are heavy, then on my patients after I have done an in office tubal on them going through the cervix into the uterus ( no cutting) takes 5 minutes, they can have an in office endometrial ablation so you will not have any more periods or very light ones so no more tampons! ...Read more
