How Long Should You Wait To Drink Alcohol After Taking Antihistamines
Minimal info here: You don't really say enough to be certain - but - if it was a standard OTC like benadryl - and you took the directed amount and you take no other medications and have no other conditions that recommend no alcohol - a minimal to moderate amount should be ok. That means 1 or 2 (at most) w/ some food taken at a pleasant rate. Don't get drunk! That's never a good idea. ...Read more

Can I drink alcohol if I completed a 3 day course of 50mg of benadryl (diphenhydramine) yesterday?
Husband quit drinking alcohol a month ago and skin itches, keeps him up at night even when taking antihistamine. Related to quitting drinking?
Not expected.: Alcohol usually worsens itching unless one has drunk oneself into a semi-stupor. Not all itching is induced by histamine and thus it may not work at all. Dry skin is the most common cause for itching without a rash, consider applying a moisturizer <3 mins after bathing to see if this helps. Make sure that no new medication or supplement was introduced shortly before the onset of itching. ...Read more

Hydrocodone and alco: Simply put when you take any opioid you should not drink alcohol, drive or operate machinery. Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Alcohol:
I may be going against the grain here, but please if you are drinking do not use any product with acetominophen or tylenol (acetaminophen).
I have seen too much liver damage from this over the counter medication, especially those with other diseases or who drink regularly.
Tylenol is toxic to the liver. And this toxicity can increase with ongoing use of both of these products: alcohol and tylenol (acetaminophen). ...Read more
As tolerated: Alcohol per se does not have any specific time restriction. If you're taking narcotic pain medicine however I would avoid alcohol use. Furthermore, carbonated beverage can be problematic in terms of bloating and probably should be avoided for between four and six weeks, or at least as long until you're able to reserve resume normal food intake. Call your surgeon with any questions however because they know your case a bit better. Best of luck. ...Read more

It depends...: There is no exact time. Alcohol and Acetaminophen (tylenol) are both metabolized by the liver. The more you stress the liver with one, the less of the other that can be safely ingested. For example, an alcoholic with cirrhosis could potentially have problems with as little as 2 grams of Acetaminophen in 24 hours...And a young healthy person could take a moderate dose of both without any problem. ...Read more

Clonazepam & Alcohol: The half-life of Clonazepam is 19-60 hours, depending on the state of your liver and other health. This means you still have clonazapam in you, although less than 48 hours ago. Please discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

Very short 1/2 life: Clindamycin is out of your system w/in hours of the last pill and there is no danger from the combo in any case. The very important reason NOT to combine them is the reduction in antibiotic effectiveness. You want the effects to be optimal but after the drug is finished and out of your system that's over. So, drink moderately (always!) and you should be okay. Especially if the original issue's ok. ...Read more
