More importantly, the fact that he had a seizure, fell, and hit his face should prompt an immediate evaluation in the ER. Hepatitis C: I am worried there is some liver inflammation and without being able to examine you i would wish you an easy way in to a study for the new hepatitis c protease inhibitors. SOD: You might have a condition called sphincter of oddi dysfunction sometimes seen after gb surgery. The muscle at the end of the bile duct does not relax and can cause similar pain as a gallbladder attack. The way to diagnose include liver function test at the time of the acute pain or measuring the muscle pressure called manometry. See a GI doc if symptoms persist. ...Read more
