We just don't know if they're effective in preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea. ...Read more

Yes and no: When u take the antibiotics, wait a couple of hours to take the probiotics, otherwise the antibiotics will kill the probiotics. Hello should I take probiotics whilst taking antibiotics, and how should I space the time between between taking them.
Depends how U use it: Erythromycin is best not on an empty stomach, and probiotics usually go well with right before you eat. So, you could space them apart. You may want to take double or triple the probiotic dose while you're on the antibiotics as it will wipe out your natural gut flora. And you should take it daily anyways on an ongoing basis, but at lower amounts just for gut health. ...Read more

If I take a probiotic supplement during a course of antibiotics, how far apart should I space the doses of each so they don't counteract each other?
While not routinely: Recommended, taking probiotics with antibiotics is probably not harmful. It is more difficult to say that, in some way, it is greatly beneficial.
