That depends: On whether you took the Valium all at one time (although 35 mg would be an overdose), or over what time period you took the Valium. Valium is a very long acting drug, and its half-life can vary from 20-100 hours. In general, it requires 5 half-lifes for a drug to be out of your system, that would be 100-500 hours (4-21 days). Metabolites may so on drug testing for up to 42 days (6 weeks). ...Read more

How much niacin can I take in one day? Using to help cleanse system of THC. Also working out a ton and drinking plenty of water.

It doesn't work: And you shouldn't be trying. Niacin is potentially toxic in high doses, and doses greater than 1000 mg per day are not recommended. It can cause severe headache and problems related to vasodilatation. Neither working out nor drinking water will increase your clearance of THC, and overly dilute urine will cause you to "fail" a urine drug test. Stop using cannabis and it will take care of itself. ...Read more

Started taking slo niacin today and had a flush about 4 hours after taking. How long will it last and can it be prevented. It is uncomfortable so I m?

Hours: Flush due to extended release niacin generally lasts for hours. Some physicians recommend aspirin or another nsaid (if you tolerate them) 30 minutes prior to taking fast-acting niacin. In this case, taking them a few hours after the extended release niacin may work better. Would also suggest taking with food and avoiding other triggers like alcohol or hot liquids. ...Read more

Would it be safe to take Niacin 100mg long term as everyday supplement? Or would it cause harm to my liver? It makes my skin smooth & glowing. I love it.

Niacin long term: At that dose - Niacin would be safe - niacin is a B vitamin and thus water soluble so if you don't need it - the body excretes it by way of urine. Niacin at much higher doses is associated with a flushing sensation and can cause liver injury but at your dose - I believe it would be safe

Complicated: Reassess diagnosis with prescribing doctor. You may have developed tolerance to Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) or other factors may be involved including change in your health status, new meds, any alcohol/drug use etc and current stresses. Consider an evaluation with a psychiatrist or a thorough review of your medical/psych history with current psychiatrist to consider other reasons why you can't focus. Hope this helps ...Read more

I've been taking advicor for five years and now my doctor is switching me to zocor (simvastatin). How long does the niacin stay in your body. Flushing?

Good question: I researched your question: the half life of extended release Niacin in Advicor (lovastatin and niacin) is very variable, & depends on gender, dose, & individual characteristics. It peaks 5 hours after a single dose. Following years of treatment, it's probably safe to assume that it will take days (3-5) to wear off completely. Possibly longer depending on dose. ...Read more

Blood red, painful, burning, skin. Blurry eye sight, vomiting, extreme head ache. Are these severe symptoms of a reaction from niacin? How long will it last?
