Year and Half: About 1/2 pound a week is a healthy rate of loss. 40 pounds will take 80 weeks, but you might be able to go a little faster. Fruits and vegetables will help it be healthy. Avoid sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Drink plenty of water. Exercise moderately at least some every day so you get a good habit. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol if you use those. May not be so simple: Exercise related foot numbness can be a presenting symptom of sciatica, although more commonly would also be expected to be painful. Another possibility is peripheral vascular disease, meaning decreased blood supply to the lower leg. Outside: I believe that all being equal walking outside is a better exercise on the treadmill you merely go up and down while the treadmill moves outside you actually push the air resistance out of the way also it's good to get fresh air save the treadmill for those bad weather days.
Use more cal/min: U r doing more work not only propelling ur self forward but u r also lifting ur body also, therefore using more energy and burning more cals. Just b careful, it also puts more stress across ur knees and esp patella-femoral joint. 5-7 is a good safe elevation, but if ur body tells u no, listen 2 it and lower the incline.
