Not shingles: The rash of shingles should NOT persist for that long, so I tend to doubt that is your diagnosis. It's best to see an Infectious Diseases doctor who specializes in viral infections and can tell if this is truly shingles or herpes zoster. There is antiviral treatment available as well as a vaccine. I'm suspicious though it is something else. Hopefully you can see a doctor or upload the photo here.

Got shingles on March 17 & small rash. No blisters just red bumps. Didn't pop or pick scabs but bumps won't go away. Redness gone but not bumps. Scars?

Question diagnosis: Did you diagnose yourself or did a doctor make the diagnosis? In any case, it is time to consult a doctor as it is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you.

Zoster sine herpete: And that young lady is how we docs say "shingles without a rash." Yes, it DOES exist. And many people are grateful for it since the alternative is have the shingles with all the cosmetic issues. When absolutely necessary we can do spinal taps to identify particles of the virus who are causing the pain and burning symptoms but without a lot of exertion.

Herpes vaccine: The herpes Zoster vaccine sometimes causes a chick pox type rash at the site. It can remain for 2-3 weeks and should be covered with a clean top. The blisters will dry up and then you are non infectious. All the best and a good choice to have the vaccine.
