My 3 year old got the flu shot 3 days ago, last night she ate mcdonald's chicken nuggets doesn't usually eat that. Diarhea & vomiting all night?

Probably nuggets but: Most likely this was due to the nuggets, which i would never eat or feed to my child (see http://foodmatters.Tv/articles-1/whats-really-in-chicken-mcnuggets-scary) but she could have a GI virus. The flu vaccine temporarily suppresses immune function making one more susceptible to other infections! see http://bit.Ly/15y6igv ; http://www.Whale.To/vaccine/mercola.Html ; http://nyti.Ms/16qehvo. ...Read more

No.: Influenza does not cause vomiting or diarrhea, so it is not flu. It likely started with a viral infection of some sort, though. Sometimes, the virus can suppress your immune system causing either a long recovery period or allowing a second infection, either bacterial or viral to start also. Stop taking the pepto, eat more "constipating" foods (bread, bananas, rice, etc.), rest, and see your doctor. ...Read more

Take him to his doc: If he is not in respiratory distress - not struggling or working hard to breathe, you can wait to see his pediatrician over the next day. Some children get pneumonia with the flu. He will need to get examined and possibly get a chest xray to determine if this is the case. And then he can be treated. Can I have the flu without vomiting?

Can I have the flu without vomiting?

Certainly!: "Flu" is a term misused in many ways but the classic way we as providers qualify flu is when there is a viral infection caused by the influenza viruses that leads to fever, sores throat, cough, body aches, muscle aches, headache, and general malaise. When someone uses the term "stomach flu", it may not be caused by the influenza virus alone. Some of those infections are caused by other viruses. ...Read more

I recently recovered from the flu. I am so hungry but I have no appetite. I feel like if i eat something, i'm going to vomit. Is this from flu?

It may be: But something may be going on at the same time. Never make assumptions when facts can become available. See your doctor and get this worked out. Infections of any kind can suppress appetite, because chemical mediators released from inflammatory cells suppress appetite. They do not usually, however, produce nausea. Get checked. ...Read more

I have the flu and am trying to keep hydrated but i vomit when i eat or drink. What should I do?

Flu care: If what you have is a viral gastroenteritis, more commonly known as the stomach, flu, the best thing to do if you are actively vomiting is to stop food intake. But you will need to stay hydrated with fluids such as water, juice or electrolyte solutions such as gatorade. Once you are settled down from the vomiting slowly reintroduce soft bland foods like bread, toast, rice applesauce, and bananas. ...Read more
