How long does pap test takes about?

How long does pap test takes about?

The exam takes longer, but once the doctor is doing a vaginal exam the pap portion takes less than a minute, which involves just a gentle scraping of the inside of the cervix. It can sometimes take a few days to get the results however because it needs to be sent to a pathologist, who will read it and then report back. ...Read more

Not the monistat: The problem is not the monistat. Monistat is there to cure the infection causing inflammatory responses which look like hyperactive cells and look atypical or pre cancer-like. Hi Doctor I have a Pap test done done like 2 months ago and every time I have sex with my husband when he penetrates it hurts? How long does it heal?

Not PAP smear: It is unlikely that PAP smear is cause of pain on intercourse. It is not feasible to know the cause of pain without examining you. You should consult your gynecologist for an evaluation. In the mean time try using liberal amount of lubricant like K-Y jelly. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

If i take azithromycin 3 days before getting a pap test will that make chlamydia come up as a false negative due to the antibiotic in my system?

Yes, possibly: Chlamydia tests usually remain positive for several days after treatment, but it might turn negative as soon as 3 days. Unless the azithromycin treatment is urgent, best to delay treatment until the chlamydia test is done. Or speak with the doctor or clinic about self collecting your chlamydia test now (vaginal swab or urine). The specimen will still be good if kept in a refrigerator for 3 days. ...Read more

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very normal on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working. ...Read more

Can a nurse take wrong pap smear? I got negative both from HPV test and pap smear but is there any chance the beginner nurse didn't take it correctly?
