Cold sore on tongue caused a swollen lymph node under jaw. No longer painful but lymph node stayed and it wont go down. Is the lymph node a problem?

Not necessarily: You could watch and wait. If the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, you should see a doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Go see an ENT doctor: It could be just repeated viral infections(colds) but you need to be sure that you do not have strept throat. A visit to your ENT doctor can help. If you want to try controlling it on your own, i wiould sugges that you try taking vitamin c, 500mg daily and give it a 6 month trial(it is pretty cheap vitamin). This may help, in which case you should continue taking it on a regular basis. ...Read more
