How Long Does Sneezing Associated With Common Cold Last
I get 'common cold' symptoms for a day after I swim in a pool the last 4-5 times. Sore throat, sinus, sneezing. Could it be a chlorine allergy?
Irritation: inflammation and dryness of the nasal passages during common cold makes the mucous lining of the nasal cavity more sensitive to the least stimulus hence the sneeze, so well hydration, nasal washes and rest helps reduce the inflammation till the body fends off the virus, hope this helps ...Read more
Hi, I am suffering from common cold. I never have this issue usually but these days I get cold twice or thrice a week. I also sneeze continuously.
Current common cold is producing MANY more sneezes and running/drippy nose than I'm accustomed to. Not my body's usual response. Why so different?

However, not knowing your other health problems this is just a general list. ...Read more
Just curious if a runny nose, sneezing, coughing is allergies or common cold. Important to me had spleen removed in Feb did take zrytec at 130pm today?
See an allergist: Allergies and viral infections can be hard to tell apart, unless there's a fever. Allergies don't cause fever. And viral infections don't last more than a week or two, so if your symptoms last longer than that, an allergist will be able to test you to find out what's going on ...Read more
9 month old sneezing, runny nose, one eye more watery and puffy than other. Common cold? She rubs runny nose then rubs eye before I can stop her, ok?
Monitor for these sx: Concerning signs/sx's: fever/irritability, redness, pain/crusting/copious eye or nasal discharge, abnormal eye movement/"eye pushed forward" appearance. Unilateral swelling can occur from abnormal sleep position, irritant, trauma (scratch-->clip nails, insect bite). A viral or bacterial infection can cause swelling/watery/red eyes, though more often affects both eyes. Not seasonal allergy in baby. ...Read more
I have runny nose, sometimes sneezing, body aches blocked and stuffed nose, headache is it a flu or common cold?
Coughing fits, Runny nose and sneezing. Common cold? My chest hurts when I move certain ways. Could it be muscular or from lungs? No fever either.
I have coughing, sneezing ear pain and shoulder pain. What could this be? I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and without taking any tests or examining me, the ER doctor diagnosed me with a common cold with bronchitis. Unfortunately I am a smoker and scared
Hard to say: The shoulder pain doesn't fit well into the er doc's diagnosis. Ear pain can come from eustachian tube dysfunction due to irritation at the back of the throat. Heart pain can radiate to the shoulder and with you being a smoker perhaps an ekg or chest x-ray is warranted. Time to get help in stopping smoking? ...Read more

How do you distinguish if sneezing is from allergies or from common cold? Mainly sneezing, no cough, itchy throat and nose, sinus pressure, congested
All of the symptoms you describe sound allergic.
If you develop a cough with mucus, a sore throat, and/or a low grade fever - that would be more like a cold.
The best way to distinguish would be to see an ENT physician - the appearance inside the nose of an allergic patient is very unique. ...Read more
