Does marijuana stay in the root of the hair follicle for 6 months, or does it get pushed out by the new hair growing in?

Long time: Thc is stored in fat cells which serve as a reservoir and release it slowly into the bloodstream and from there into hair follicles. For a long time user, the "reservoir" can be quite full and so may feed follicles at 6 mo and longer. The new hair growing out takes some follicle thc with it as new thc is being fed in. ...Read more

I smoke marijuana one time about 35 days ago I have a hair follicle test in two day should I pass?

Probably: The best information I can find to answer this is from the website of NORML (who should know), which states that, while a hair follicle test can be positive for months in regular users, it is "doubtful" that it would be positive after a single use. Would I pass a THC hair follicle test if I smoked marijuana once. It was once in July and I won't have the test until at least the end of October?

Possibly no: The hair follicle test is standardized to collect a specimen dating back about 90 days. Depending on how fast your hair grows, you could possibly test negative if a specimen close to the scalp is obtained. ...Read more
