Endometrial biopsy friday called quest they said status reads pending does this mean something bad and is no result this long a bad sign too?
Pending just means that there is no final answer. When the result has been read, your doctor will be informed. I recommend communicating with your doctor's office in regards to the result instead of calling the lab.
If there seems to be a delay in getting the result, the doctor's office can call the lab to see what is causing the delay. ...Read more

Insignificant find: Tubal metaplasia is an insignificant finding in endometrial tissue. Often it is not even mentioned because it is common. It has no association with hyperplasia or cancer at all. It is an incidental finding that is usually present only focally. Your MD undoubtedly repeated the biopsy because the initial biopsy was scant and s/he wanted a better sample, NOT to see if there is more metaplasia. ...Read more
Still waiting for pathology results from polypectomy and endometrial biopsy. I had the op on the 11th of march. Is this normal? I called twice myself

Sometimes the pathologists need to work on it longer if they see something, but they would be in touch with your other doctor (s), at least the doctor who robed your polyp. So it would be wise to speak to that doctor to try to get an answer as to what's going on. Best of luck. ...Read more
