But as long as you aren't getting new rashes, you should stop treating it with the cream. Topical cortisone creams and anit-itch creams can help with the itch as can oral antihistamines. You need to follow..: ...up with your doctor. Crusting scabies is highly contagious. If you're pregnant, the last thing you want is to give it to a newborn. Get a pregnancy test.
