Stop low carb diet: And see if symptoms go away. Some people cannot tolerate a low carb diet. If not better see your doctor.
Refers to all the physical matter humans (like all living creatures) must take in on a recurring basis; only partially for energy. Like all life on planet humans are open systems which keep tearing down their structure & require intake of atoms/molecules from which to rebuild their structure. What happens to your body if you are consantly dieting on a low calorie and low carb diet, can you gain body fat easier in the long run?
Probably, slowly: Depending upon how restrictive is your diet, and how much fat you have lost, you can certainly expect some gain when resuming a more balanced diet. How soon you gain lost fat, would depend on different factors like your absorption or other GI health issues.See 1 more doctor answer
Not question of safe: When on a diet rich in fats and you take pills to block fat absorption, you are likely to have problems controlling your bowel movements. You may find yourself in situations with the need for immediate access to a toilet and possibly even situations where you don't always make it in time. Limit fats and increase proteins and don't take such medications. Low glycemic index better than low carb.

It is a matter of yo: Your will power has a lot to do with it. But you can do it if you go slowly in the beginning and then gradually increase your efforts. Within 3 months, a behavior change can get well established and success is achieved by then but you have to persist with your efforts.
Diet: Low carb or not you still have to burn more calories than you ingest. If you burn 500cal a day more than you ingest, you should lose a pound a week.

Want to eat a high (good) fat low carb diet but it makes my acid reflux act up terribly. Take daily Prevacid (lansoprazole) now. Any advice?
Avoiding triggers: Daily or uncontrolled heartburn despite a PPI (like Prevacid) is a warning sign to stop whatever is triggering it. Fats commonly trigger acid reflux &heartburn, & are thought to do so by relaxing the lower esophageal sphincter.Although Gaviscon is a good add-on med, & lifestyle measures (raise head of bed, avoid eating late, avoid caffeine etc) can lower symptoms, it's best to avoid known triggers.
Do excess carbs/sugars get converted into saturated fat in our bodies? And if so, then would a high fat/low carb diet be healthier than a high carb/low fat diet?
Yes and No: Yes, you are right in that excess of carbs/sugars get converted into fat. So do eat carbs, but in moderation. Eating fat doe snot do any good, so I would say no to your second question. What you need to do is choose a balanced diet which has ample amounts of plant based foods which are free of both fats and avoid too much sugar. In addition, get a good amount of proteins by eating fish, nuts & egg.
No: There is absolutely no medical reason to eat every three hours -- day or night -- unless you are a newborn. Your body is designed for you to eat 3 meals a day at your age. After all, you make it through the night without waking up every three hours to eat..........
3500 kcal Worth: Those no carb diets all work by the same mechanism every diet on earth works by: less calories in. The key is that if you eat enough calories to gain weight but do it from fats and protein alone, it'll make you sick, so most people end up eating substantially less. Try it and see (myfitnesspal is a great app for this). Every 3500 cal missed (or so), another pound will fall off.
Weight loss: There is no one plan fits all. In general eat less and exercise more. Many structured plans can work ie weight watchers, 17 day diet, low carb. All have been successful for many. Low carb diet should see benefit within a week as long as you are still not exceeding consumptions of other calories.
If I start a low carb diet after being off for 3 to 4 weeks, will my body have to go through that same "low energy" for those first two weeks again?
No: There is really no good reason to have low energy on a 'low carb' diet if your getting enough calories. I f you are on a protein sparing modified fast diet like optifast or medifast (very low calorie diets)you may experience some fatigue. Be sure you get enough good quality protein, adequate rest and some reasonable exercise. Low refined/white carb/sugar diets are healthy.
I'm on a low carb diet for body building and in exams for university is that going to effect my studing?
Depends on...: The number of grams of fat one should eat depends on the total number of calories he wants to eat each day, and the percent of calories he wants to be from carbs, fat, and protein. The site http://www. Freedieting. Com/tools/nutrient_calculator. Htm has a calculator. One can enter the total calories, such as 1500, and then the %, such as 20%carb, 40%fat, 40%protein, and get the results in grams/day.See 1 more doctor answer
3 choices: When it comes to food, you only have fat, carbohydrate and protein. You can't eliminate any of the 3 altogether. If you increase or decrease one of the 3, the other 2 have to change as well. Too much or too little of any of the three can cause problems. Try eating a well-balanced diet with fewer calories and more exercise. Stay away from exotic info from friends, tv or the internet.
I am an endomorph, I follow a low carb diet & do a lot of cardio, would I still get to 10% bodyfat if I take a day off & eat junk food 1 day per week?
Mind change: "body type" / "endomorph" talk is mostly subscience. You'll get yourself lean when, and only when, you lose your taste for high-calorie, unnutritious food. Your athletic peers will reinforce this. It's great that you're doing a lot of cardio, but save the big empty-calorie tickets for when you're out with friends and even then, impress them by eating a salad. Ask your physician for guidance.
