How long does it take you to recover after C hyst?

About 6 weeks

C-section
Recovery after a c-hyst is similar to after a c-section. Most people feel pretty good by 2 weeks but it is more like 6 weeks to get to the 95% mark. It may take longer if you lost a lot of blood & are anemic or if your surgery was more complicated

After cesarean hysterectomy and prolonged it has taken me months, and I still cannot stand long. What went wrong?

Probably nothing

Hysterectomy
A cesarean hysterectomy is MAJOR SURGERY. Some docs only perform this a handful of times during their career. The procedure implies that you completed a pregnancy, probably had a complication such as heavy bleeding and needed a life saving emergency surgery. It takes time to recover from each of these let alone all together. It may take months for your stamina to return. Follow up with the surgeon.

Why is there so much bleeding with cesarean hysterectomy?

Huge blood supply

Pregnancy
Basically the pregnant uterus has a huge blood supply from numerous and very large blood vessels and the organ itself is very large. During surgery for a cesarean hysterectomy each vessel keeps bleeding copiously until it is secured with a suture ligation (stitch). In the nonpregnant state, the blood vessels and uterus are much, much smaller making it easier to secure the bleeding.

Dr. Alan Patterson answered:

Why should I be concerned about ovarian cancer after cesarean hysterectomy?

Not really

Cancer
If you had that , which is uncommon, they most likely left your ovaries in. At the time of the hysterectomy they should have seen both ovaries and if anything was abnormal with either of them, they would have removed them. Your risk , assuming you have no other risk factors ( like a family history ) should be the same as anyone else.

How long does it take you to recover from rotator cuff injury?

6-12 weeks

Rotator_cuff_repair
Typically, a rotator cuff strain resolves in 6-12 weeks. They are sometimes associated with other injuries that may take longer. Rotator cuff tears do not heal on their own. They may calm down and stop producing pain, but will not heal back to the original position. Healing after a rotator cuff repair takes 12-16 weeks and continues to improve 6 months after surgery.

How long did it take you to recover after broken hand?

6-8 weeks

Hand_fracture
Is a typical bone healing time but for fractures that need reduction and or surgery while the bone is mechanically healed after 6-8 weeks I always tell patients that it is several month process and months later before the wrist and hand begin to feel more " normal". Much also depends on the severity if fracture as a simple nondisplaced hairline fracture is very different from one needing operative

how long doe's it take recover from a d&c - hysteroscopy?

Couple days

Open-uri20120730-22884-1es9eyr
This is usually done under light sedation or general anesthesia. It's a simple procedure and pain-wise, recovery is not too bad with mild cramps & spotting. If you need to recover from gen anesthesia, it may take 1-2 days. We sometimes also perform endometrial ablations if permanent sterilization has been done. This may eliminate bleeding & recovery is usually the same. Discuss it with your Gyn.

How long does it take to recover from a hysteroscopy/d&c?

1-2 days

Stringio
The above procedure is usually done with a local block or light anesthetic. Barring complications, recovery is less than 24 hours with minimal spotting & cramping after. I usually prescribe Ibuprofen & Tylenol following these & most patients do very well and return to work/school the next day. Take care.
