How Long Does It Take To Treat A Yeast Infection Using Vinegar And Yogurt
Decades?: This type of management is unlikely to achieve positive results, which is why i suspect you are asking the question. You need an antifungal preparation. Ask your doctor or pharmacist and stop fooling around with "natural" solutions. ...Read more
Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more
Depends: Antifungals are faster and more effficient. The others are for protection to avoid recurrance. ...Read more
How long does it take apple cider vinegar to get rid of my yeast infection after soaking a tampon in it and inserting twice a day?
No effect!: Apple cider vinegar WILL NOT affect your yeast and may even be harmful for your vagina. DO NOT continue this practice as your vaginal pH should not be more acidic than it is naturally and the vinegar may cause more harm than good. Please see a doctor and get real medication. ...Read more
Cook with them: I read an excellent recipe for sausage and sauerkraut using those two ingredients. Alternatively, you can eat the yogurt and you can drink the apple cider vinegar (or cook something else with it) .....After you confirm you have a yeast infection and take an appropriate medication for it. ...Read more
Does the vinegar test work all the time on GW? I wanna try it on myself but I just had a yeast infection and my insides are swollen....
Very unreliable: Painting skin with vinegar (or other acid) is a terrible test for genital warts and HPV infection. Some HPV infected tissues don't turn white, and some white spots are not HPV. Even in the hands of an experienced dermatologist or STD expert, the test is hard to interpret and unreliable. It is even worse by untrained anxious persons testing themselves. Don't do it; see a doctor instead. ...Read more
I developed a yeast infection 2 weeks ago. Used travacort but it would come back. I stopped using it and switched to Canalba 2 days ago. I now keep getting watery discharge. Drinking apple cider vinegar diluted in water. Is this discharge normal?
See a doctor: The active ingredients in Travocort and Canalba are similar; if one didn't help, the other will not. Vaginal yeast usually causes itching and irritaiton, little if any discharge. Whether or not it was yeast initially, something else probably is the cause now. (STD?) If the discharge is new and different to you, it's not normal; see a doctor. Water with vinegar won't treat any vaginal infection. ...Read more
Had my first yeast infection 2 weeks ago and cleared it up with Monistat. Since then I have vinegar smelling discharge which I never have. Normal?
BV: Most likely you have an abnormal growth of vaginal bacteria (bacterial vaginosis or BV). This can lead to the odor, itching, and discomfort. You were correct to try an anti-fungal cream but since you have persistent symptoms or possibly a different (or additional) diagnosis, now is a good time to schedule a visit with your Doc. A quick exam, a look under the microscope, easy treatment. Good luck. ...Read more
It itches before I start my period. A couple of months ago I had a yeast infection I don't think its that because when I took a bath vinegar it stop?
Maybe not yeast...: Vinegar doesn't work against yeast infections (or anything else); if the itching improved with a vinegar "bath" it was probably just a coincidence. You may or may not have a yeast infection; other things also can cause genital itching. See a doctor for professional diagnosis and recommended treatment. Good luck! ...Read more
Ive heard that using an Apple cider vinegar soak is good to help cure yeast infection. Soaking a cloth and laying over vaginal walls, is this true?
Don't do it: This won't do any good at all and could be irritating and make yeast symptoms worse. Vaginal yeast infections need medical treatment. There are excellent over-the-counter drugs, including single dose oral fluconazole (Diflucan), or any of several vaginal creams -- look for active ingredient ending in "azole". If any doubt about the diagnosis, or if OTC treatment doesn't work, see a doctor. ...Read more
