A week or more: I presume that this was a needle bioopsy of the thyroid. I should heal in less than a week. Occasionally, a small amount of bleeding occurs where the biopsy needly was inserted. This can prolong the discomfort for an additional week. If the discomfort is decreasing, even if slowly, it's ok. If it is increasing, chek with the doctor who did the biopsy. ...Read more

My thyroid biopsy results shows a benign follicular nodule with colloid, blood and few hurthle cells. Should i be concerned with the hurthle cells?
