Hey, tomorrow i'm having a MRI scan on my head, its to do with my ears! how long does an MRI take?
I went in to get an MRI scan on my spine and I was scared. The lady had me try it for about 40 second before I had them take me out. Now I remember I had surgical staples for a cut on my scalp years ago. I never had them taken out should i be worried?
Go to your doctor: As far as your MRI is concerned, it's probably fine. The concerns with MRI are certain metals that can be moved due to the magnetic force. Many metals used into the medical field aren't made of those types of metal. I'm more concerned w/possibility of surgical staples being in place for a year. Maybe they used suture which your body absorbed. I recommend you see your doctor to get this sorted out ...Read more

Prolactin: A lot of people have a mildly high prolactin (i.e. Less than 100). If it is a tumor, the size of the tumor is proportional to the prolactin, so if prolactin is less than 100, the tumor is likely small. Prolactin tumors are almost always treated with medications, like cabergoline, and not surgery. Don't worry. You may need to see an endocrinologist. ...Read more

Coccyx MRI: You may have injured one of the small discs between the coccyx bones. These can be very subtle and possibly missed if the study was reviewed by someone without advanced training. If you believe that the reading of your MRI may have missed something, I can provide a second opinion, if you have the MRI on a CD.
