See below: PAP smear is not designed to test for STDs. However, it may reveal, herpes, HPV, trichhomonas, yeast and bacterial vaginosis. PAP results may a take a couple of weeks. Not finding these in a PAP smear does not exclude these infections. PAP does not reveal HIV. If you have a concern, you should see a doctor and get specific tests for the particular infection in question.
