Depends: While some stis are considered curable and can be cleared with a short course of treatment, others may be take more time. Some infections, such hiv, for example, presently are not considered curable. Speak with your provider about your specific condition. As with any sti, practicing safer sex protects you and your partner (s) from further infection / exposure.
Depends on the STD: You could have an STD and be asymptomatic — without any signs or symptoms. In fact, this happens with a lot of STDs. Even though you have no symptoms, you're still at risk of passing the infection along to your sex partners. That's why it's important to use protection, such as a condom, during sex. And visit your doctor on a regular basis for STD screening.
48 to 72 hours: Most labs can process std testing in 48 to 72 hours.
Incubation periods: Vary depending on which std it is.
Within 1 week: Usually 4-7 days but could be longer.
Depends: Depends on the type of testing that was done, the office hours and days of operation of the clinic who tested you, and the general operating efficiency of the clinic.

It depends which one: If your partner tested + u would need to be treated whether u have symptmns or not and even if your culture would be neg because sometimes the culture could miss it, u can go online and read about all the stds there are many articles.
Variable: Gonnorhea or chlamydia can be urine tested after 2-3 days, syphilis or hpv when sore or lesion develops, can be weeks, blood tests take time because there have to be organism or antibodies develop, i.E hiv/aids or syphilis. Early tests can give both false positive & false negative results. Later testing much more reliable.
Depends on the test: Was it a culture blood work or pap, the person or office I always tell my pts about how long it should be when I do testing in my office call them up you should not have to be asking that? On this website.
Usually under a week: There's no hard and fast rule; each clinic is different. And some lab tests take longer than others. But for most of the standard STD tests (gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV), I would expect results within 5 work days, sometimes sooner. Why not call your clinic and ask directly? Good luck -- I hope your results are negative!See 1 more doctor answer
Ex cheated on me in june. Got tested for stds in July. Found out the girl has hepatitis and herpes. How long does it take to show up? I'm freaking out
No need to freak-out: STDs, including herpes and hepatitis B, are transmitted ineffiiciently; that is, most sex with infected people doesn't transmit. Your ex partner should be professionally examined and tested for these and other STDs. If he isn't infected, you couldn't have caught anything. New herpes or hep B often asymptomatic. If symptoms, usual onset 3-10 days for herpes, 4-12 wk for hep B. No risk for hep C.
