Depends: Levaquin does have side effects which include increased risk in tendon tear, cardiac issues, and photosensitivity. It is relatively safe if one takes the proper precaution. On the other hand, if your sinus problem had no response to Augmentin at all, I would reassess the diagnosis. Did you have a CT sinus to rule out sinus opening obstruction after Augmentin failed? Be seen: It sounds like you still have an infection. It would be reasonable to try a stronger antibiotic, though if you are not taking symptomatic medications like an antihistamine (claritin or zyrtec) and an expectorant like mucinex, (guaifenesin) then you should. ...Read more
