I have chronic migraines, and think i might also be having rebound has from advil (ibuprofen). If i stop taking it, how long should it take for the has to go away?
May not work: You likely have chronic daily headache patterns, and could well be prompted by your advil (ibuprofen) usage, which is not uncommon, but your Fioricet will make this even worse, and Amitriptyline will be unlikely to break up this headache pattern. In short, see a neurologist who specializes in headaches, and get your med program totally revamped. Might also check in with dentist re teeth and/or jaw issues. ...Read more

How long can a person safely take Advil, a 200 mg dosage daily? Does switching to aspirin make a difference, or do they both harm the body same?
Why do you need to: take this medication daily. If you are in pain all the time, you need to consult a doctor to find out why and address the underlying cause. No medication is entirely safe and taking any medication daily for a long time will have adverse side effects. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Not usual addiction: You need to lower the dose to NO MORE THAN 4 in an 8 hour period--NOW. The excess in 'sleep' agent at higher doses can cause symptoms that keep you awake. Hi dose ibuprofen can permanently damage kidneys and tax liver. After a couple nights, lower dose again to two tablets (like instructions say). Should see a Dr--if insured, can call # on back of card to get names accepting new pts near you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My friend takes 14 Advil (ibuprofen) PM's to sleep.
Apparently it takes that many to work.
He's 25 around 5'7-5'9 & on the slim side. What effects can this have?
I have had a headach four 7 days on my left side of my head right behind my eye . It starts right when i wack up and it gets hurting more every hour in tell i take 4 Advil and lay down and put ice on it for hours and then that does not work all the time .
First : First of all vodka and advil (ibuprofen) is a dangerous combination. This could adversely affect your liver and could cause liver damage and possibly failure which could be lethal. The maximum amount of advil (ibuprofen) is 3200mg/day and no more than 800mg every 6 hours. An over the counter advil (ibuprofen) tab is 200mg. As far as your headache goes, if it has been present for 7 days then this definitely warrants a medical evaluation. It sounds like a cluster headache. Your doctor will be able to tell you what their diagnosis is after a complete evaluation and give you appropriate treatment. Best of luck. ...Read more
