My 2.5 year old, who is diabetic, has had a decreased appetite for the last couple weeks. Her blood sugars are normal and she doesn't appear sick.?

Likely normal: Many normal children that age have quite variable appetites I would suggest that you keep a daily listing of all that she eats and drinks. After 1-2 weeks, talk to your doctor's nurse to see if they have any concern and whether they want you to bring her in to be seen.

1yr old boy. Temp 38degreesc. Decreased appetite, sleepy but plays. Had 12mth shots last wk. Worry? Wake at night if temp high?

Hard to tell: The temperature of 38c (100.4 f) is not really concerning, but I would pay attention to how he feels. If he seems to be less energetic, not eating well, or having trouble sleeping, he should be checked by the doctor. At his age, it can be difficult to tell if he is coming down with a virus, or ear infection or some other illness.

Is it normal for toddler to go through periods of little appetite? He's been fussy last few days and decreased appetite? Teething possible still?

Can be normal: It is very normal for kids to go thru periods when they don't eat much or to be very hungry, depending on if they are in an active growth stage. Appetites can vary. The last teeth erupt about 2 1/2. Sometimes the molars come in easily and there is no signs of teething and sometimes there is a lot of pain. Each child is different. So check mouth when you are brushing the teeth for teething bump.

Yes: High fever and lethargy can be symptoms of a virus, or a serious bacteria infection. When she is treated for an infection, the antibiotic should be working within 3-4 days. If a fever occurs after that, or the symptoms worsen, there could be a new infection. See your doctor if you haven't already done so.
