How Long Does Ciprofloxacn Stay In Your System
How long does cipro (ciprofloxacin) stay in your system after you've stopped taking it? I have a UTI and only one pill left but I'm not better.
Maybe resistent germ: If you are on your last pill of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and symptoms haven't improved, your infection may be resistant to Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and related antibiotics. The doc who rx'ed the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) may have sent a culture test to the lab, which can tell what other antibiotics would work best. Call that dr's office and they should be able to prescribe something else if necessary. ...Read more

Can flagyl and/or ciprofloxacin in combination with alcohol cause a higher breathalyzer reading and/or cause alcohol to remain in your system longer?
Why do you ask?: Your doctor must have told you not to drink while you're taking flagyl. It's quite dangerous. And while you're on "Cipro", both alcohol and caffeine are best avoided. They won't actually raise the level. If you failed a breathalyzer, you need both a good lawyer and an eagerness to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again. Best wishes. ...Read more
Can flagyl or ciprofloxacin in combination with alcohol cause a higher breathalyzer reading and/or cause cause alcohol to remain in your system longer?
You should not be taking alcohol while on such medication. Even without being on medication, alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, stay away from it. You may consult this site for the specific issue of flagyl and alcohol: http://www. Webmd. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. I'm taking Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, is it okay to smoke weed? I took one yesterday and smoked but I read that these pills are bad for the nervous system
Wrong Question: Weed is bad for the nervous system, the brain, etc. As you can tell I'm not a proponent of its supposed medical uses. Take your medication, lay of the weed, once you are off your Cipro (ciprofloxacin) then do what you want. Dr. Google is not ever a good source of medical information. ...Read more
What type of bacteria does Cipro (ciprofloxacin) kill? Why is it mainly used for? What organ systems is Cipro (ciprofloxacin) used on?
Many possibilities: This sounds like you've found someone's medicine and wonder what she or he has. If so, I suggest you ask! Ciprofloxacin is active against a wide range of bacteria to treat many kinds of infection in almost any organ system. Most common probably is urinary tract infection. It isn't usually used for STDs, in case that's on your mind. ...Read more

Will Azo flush antibiotics (cipro (ciprofloxacin) for uti) out of your system? I'm trying to find relief while on antibiotics!
Took naproxen 24 hrs ago and it made my dizzy & drowsy. Will the naproxen still be in my system and interact with the cipro (ciprofloxacin) I am to start taking?
Couple of days: After one dose, the majority of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) would be removed from the body after about 24 hours. If the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) has been taken twice a day, it will take a couple of days. The "half life" of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is about 4 hours, meaning that half of the drug is gone after 4 hours, then half again is gone after another 4 hours, etc. This is different if a person has kidney disease, then it takes much longer. ...Read more
Try to avoid the sun: Moderate to severe photosensitivity/phototoxicity reactions, the latter of which may manifest as exaggerated sunburn reactions (for example, burning, erythema, exudation, vesicles, blistering, edema) involving areas exposed to light can be associated with the use of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) after sun or uv light. Therefore, excessive exposure to these sources of light should be avoided. ...Read more

11month long epididymo-prostatitis, prescribed ciprofloxacin 6 week course. Pain usually comes back 3 hours after taking - cause for higher dosage?
Need to reassess...:
Your clinical resistance to respond to antibiotic use deserves reassessing clinical accuracy in dx. To do so, collect the features, degree, and progress of the symptoms with their detailed sequence of event, and bring those to doc for review, analysis, more hx, physicals, and tests as needed so to deduce a more reasonable DX for proposing more pertinent rx.

Cipro (ciprofloxacin) helps UTIs: The question is however "what type" of urinary infection because the urinary tract divides up into different compartments. If it's a simple female cystitis, usually 3 days of treatment is enough at standard dosing (500mg BID for an adult). If it's a male UTI- longer. If kidney is involved, prostate or other organs u really need a doc. Cultures help too since Cipro (ciprofloxacin) has lost some effectiveness. ...Read more
I have taken last night my last ciprofloxacin pill. How long should I wait until I can have a beer.
ONE beer???: If it's really one beer, pretty much anytime. Would like to know what kind of infection you were being treated for, though. Alcohol is generally not a good thing to consume (especially in larger quantities) when a person has an infection, since it has negative effects of white blood cell activity and production of antibodies. True social drinking (2 or fewer drinks per day in young men) is ok. ...Read more
