I went to emerge with chest pain a while back. If i had a pulmonary embolism would they have found it?
Test results: A chest radiograph may be normal, EKG changes include SVT and an elevated BNP may be present. If large enough, PEs affect oxygenation and cause shortness of breath. If you had chest pain, you most likely did have a chest x ray, EKG and an oxygen level. If all your screening tests were normal, it is less likely that you had a PE.
