Yes: It is very common to develop back pain during pregnancy or from delivery of baby. If it doesn't resolve, i would consider MRI evaluation after delivery to see what can be done to relieve the pain. Depends: It depends on how severe the "tearing" is. Having done it twice, i can say it's not too awful, and surprisingly that area heals very quickly! you will likely get a squirt bottle at hospital (like the one dish soap comes in but smaller).
