Also, medications you're taking may now be having stronger effect. There are many physicians who do acupuncture -- having knowledge and experience in both worlds. Yup & Yup: Auricular acupuncture is beneficial for depression (but i would use it as an adjunct to other approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy or possibly psychotropic medications). Is acupuncture for a teen who has leg pain and never tried it painful? How long would it take? I'm kinda appresive about this possible treatment...
NOT painful!!!: If acupuncture was painful it would not be very popular. One might expect that sticking needles in you would be painful, but the needles are very thin and they barely go into the skin so any discomfort is really minimal, nothing at all like getting a shot.
